2pass has teamed up with ONESOON to introduce a new service available via your mobile phone called Location Check.

Location Check allows you to search House Prices, Crime and Schools performance statistics for any valid postcode in seconds for as little as Ł3. (plus the usual network rate).

HOW TO USE LOCATION CHECK

To use the service,
simply text 2pass followed by a valid postcode to 86300

For example,

2pass Lxx8xx

Within a few seconds you will receive one or more text messages detailing House Prices, Crime and Schools performance statistics for the said postcode.

WHAT INFORMATION WILL I RECEIVE?

you will receive Schools performance statistics.Location Check uses the Average Point Score (APS) as supplied by the Department of Children, Schools and Families (DCSF) to compare state schools. Two state schools are compared for both PRIMARY (at the end of Key Stage 2) and SECONDARY (at the end of Key Stage 3) categories. The first state school listed in each category is the nearest state school to the postcode submitted. The second state school listed in each category is the highest scoring school from the set of state schools a fixed distance from the postcode. The distance from the postcode is set at 2 mile intervals for primary schools and 5 mile intervals for secondary schools. The distance is increased until one or more schools are included for comparison. Note that the nearest school may also be the school with the highest APS score.
