The New Theory Test from 2012
Sunday, February 26, 2012
Since 23rd January 2012 the multiple choice part of the UK driving Theory Test has been made up of questions that are no longer available in training materials.
The DVSA state that removing the theory test questions and answers will allow test candidates to gain the knowledge and understanding on becoming a safe driver instead of simply memorising the answers. Instead, questions and answers very similar to those found in the actual test are provided, along with full explanations of the answers.
Since 23rd January 2012, the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) have added new multiple-choice Theory Test questions to the test but these will not appear in any product, such as software, downloads, Apps, books nor on any websites.
It is hoped that this approach to learning will help candidates to gain a better knowledge and understanding of driving theory which will help them respond correctly to the new, reworded live questions used in the actual test.
Revision materials are still be available.
It’s still as important as ever to get plenty of practice before applying for the UK driving Theory Test.
