How to deal with right turns at traffic lights
This Video shows a series of clips to show you how to deal with the different situations when turning right at traffic lights.
At some traffic lights, there are advanced stop lines to allow cyclists to position themselves ahead of other traffic.
Stop at the first white line and avoid encroaching on the marked area. However, if you have crossed the first white line at the time that the signal changes to red, you must stop on the second white line, even if you are in the marked area.
You have to then allow time for any cyclists the time and space to move off when the lights change to green.
